Creek Ski Area |

Wolf
Creek Ski Area is a high alpine ski resort, 10,300 feet at the base
and 11,900 feet at the summit. Wolf Creek Ski Area encompasses 1,600
acres of versatile terrain spread along a high alpine ridge. This
pristine wilderness provides everything from challenging double-black
diamond runs to a variety of intermediate and beginning level terrain.
The Wolf Creek Ski Area average yearly snowfall is about 465 inches.
Even in years where other ski resorts have limited snow you will find
Wolf Creek Ski Area has a good deep pack. One of the trademarks of
the resort is its friendly and easy-going staff, who make every run
enjoyable and safe. The 109.44 acres of recreational
land for sale in Southern Colorado sits at a lower elevation than
the ski area and enjoys a more moderate winter temperature.
The mountains and meadows that surround the resort are a playground
for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling. From the
summit the back country trails slope down toward the Pagosa Springs
area and during the winter months are deep in perfect snow for cross-country
sports. Many cross-country enthusiasts park at the bottom of the mountain,
catch a ride up to the pass, and then enjoy the deep powder and sunlit
peace of the back trails. |
